Who are the members of the I.E.P. team?
The National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities put together a very useful breakdown of the The IEP team Short and Sweet: IDEA (at §300.321) describes the IEP team as including the following members:
Parent
At least one general education teacher
At least one special education teacher. " In the case of a child only receiving a related service such as speech and language, a speech therapist can replace the special education teacher." (Lipsitt, 2011)
An individual who is knowledgeable of the resources available in the school district. This is typically the school administrator.
An individual who can interpret evaluations
The child's Part C service provider, if applicable.
